Ride the Wave Into Second Grade!
Welcome to Room 7!  Today was the first day of school and my new little kidlets learned about sea turtles.  I have long admired these amazing creatures.  We would like to share with you what we learned today!
Emma - Only one or two sea turtles make it into the ocean.
Aram - There are seven kinds of sea turtles and they have lived for more than 100 million years. 
Gabriel - Sea turtles have been around for more than 100 million years.
Spencer - Sea turtles eat lots of crab and shrimp all over the sea.  When they are babies, their shells are soft and small.
Thomas - They have been around for 100 million years.  They can eat jelly fish, crab, snails.
Jessica - Sea turtles are cute.  Sea turtles swim in the ocean.
Kathryn - Sometimes only 2 or 1 baby turtles will live.  :(
Eleni - The sea turtles need our help to survive.
Aren - They eat jellyfish, crabs, snails, and fish.
Shalini - When they are babies, their shell is as soft as old leather.
Rachael - Sea turtles have lungs so they come up for air.
Joshua - They eat crab, snails, and jellyfish.
Baz - I learned that they remember where they were born.
Smith - I never knew they had been around for 100 million years.
Jack - They eat jellyfish.
Gabby - Sea turtles are geomagnetic.  This helps them get to the ocean.
Henry - There are seven different types of sea turtles.
Kalyn - The green sea turtle is a vegetarian. 
Mimi - The mothers leave their eggs to hatch alone.
Mrs. Pruden - Thrilled to be here with these amazing children!
