| Emma - Gung Hey Fat Choy Chinese New Year is celebrated in many different ways. One of the ways to celebrate is to make a papier mache dragon and dance under it. Another way to celebrate it is to beat a big drum while dancing. It is a tradition to get new clothes. Most people give little red envelopes which mean good luck. The night before Gung Hey Fat Choy they have a big feast. Joshua - Gung Hey Fat Choy! Chinese New Year is celebrated in many ways. Red and orange are the lucky colors. We get red envelopes called lai see. The Chinese people use fire crackers to scare away bad spirits. People see the Dragon Dance. The Dragon Dance brings luck to China. If the Dragon gets the pearl, lots of luck comes. The Chinese people close the windows so the bad spitis will stay out. I think Chinese New year is the best holiday. Shalini - Gung Hey Fat Choy! Chinese New Year is celebrated in many ways. The Lion Dance shows good fortune and a good future. They also close the blinds or cover them with paper . They do this to keep the bad spirits out and the good spirits in. Also red and orange are lucky colors for Chinese New Year. They also do something called lai see. This is good luck money wrapped in red paper. They also celebrate with a parade. This is a very special part of Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year is a very festive way to celebrate the new year. Aren - Gung Hey Fat Choy Chinese New Year is special. People get red envelopes that have money inside it. They get it because it's a tradition for Chinese people. They have very big parades. In the parade, there is a red dragon that dances. They eat lots and lots of Chinese food. It is special too because there are fairs. |
