Johnny Appleseed
Students were challenged to write their first biography! We read several books about John Chapman, a man who would be come known to generations as Johnny Appleseed. Take a moment to read these terrific biographies by the students in Room 7!
Each year in honor of Johnny Appleseed's birthday, the Second Grade at LCE pays tribute to an amazing fruit...the apple! The children visited three classes and participated in different apple related activities. The children, with help from our gracious volunteer parents, moved from room to room for plenty of apple fun.
With every writing assignment, we will become more and more fluent as writers. I have objectives in mind for each piece of writing. Writing complete sentences from a timeline Proper use of "in" and "on" Indenting Capitalization of proper nouns
